Hi and Welcome to Stella's Figs

Stella’s Figs started from a moment. A moment in time that every person on the planet experienced collectively but differently.

Hi, I am Ashley, a navy wife stationed in California. When the pandemic hit, I was alone at home while my husband was deployed, my family was 5,000 miles away and I had never felt more alone. During these times like most of us, we found ways to deal with the distance. My family and I had virtual movie night, virtual work out sessions and everything else to get us through those beginning times. My birthday was spent completely alone while watching movies over facetime with my husband. He managed to spend a full 8 hours straight with me on facetime, that has to be a world record or something haha. Those virtual moments kept me together in more ways than one.

Zoom to October, 6 months in. (Get it? Zoom... aren’t we tired of zoom this and zoom that? Ok I digress.) I had this idea to take that virtual experience and translate it to a hug almost, a hug that others like me felt when having those virtual moments with my family. I called up my family and pitched the idea. They loved it! I will never forget calling my husband and telling him, he said “umm okay, sure! Let’s do it” We hit the ground running. I can never thank my family for the support they gave. My brother gathered all the paperwork, scheduled monthly zoom meetings, my parents helped source inventory, my husband started helping me make candles in the kitchen, so much so that he would start making batches without my help! It was insane, tiring but oh so rewarding!

Soft launch time. We softly launched in the middle of December, to my surprise we had over 1k worth of sales! That may seem like a low number but that meant so much to me. Our box was giving joy to a small number of people and that meant the world…

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello! Your support can never be repaid! Next months blog post will be on launch month, Did I tell you we are launching in January? 😊 until then!

Many virtual hugs and kisses,

Ash
